My late night opinions
Now that the Iraq war is over, looking back at it, it benefited the world because many leaders of the Arab Spring have said it was an example that they could over throw a dictator. If not for the invasion Iraq would have helped Gaddafi stay in power, Iraq would definite help Syria and keep the rebels down. Furthermore the people of Iraq would be in worse condition, back to when Saddam used mustard gas against his own people to test it, women would not be educated and viewed as a piece of property. The end of his reign has brought humanity to Iraq for the better and will hopefully stay.
I also believe that the US should not get involved in Iran so the hard liners who hate the US will have less to pressure the government about. Once they lose influence in the government then the US should negotiate with Iran.
Another thought I have is that it is terrible what the hard line Muslims are doing in Afghanistan by poisoning hundreds of school girls, mostly under 13 for just trying to learn. It’s ridiculous how they interpret the Koran into justifying these acts. Seeing those images of those poor girls there just makes me appreciate living here more.
